So I think i need a trim but......

Hey mane-stars! So let's talk trimming. Why is it so important? Especially for those of us whose "mane" goal is to grow our hair out anyway, why trim? And how often? Well here's the tea.

Reasonably ,healthy hair grows on an average of one half inch a month. To trim or not depends on several factors: Are you natural? is your hair chemically treated? What is the overall condition of your hair? Peep this chart:

This is a great guideline to start with for your next trim. If your mane is chemically treated, you may need to trim more often ( every six to eight weeks) as chemicals may dry out your hair creating more damage to your ends.

Natural manes may not need to trim as often ( every 3 to 6 months) but for any hair type and texture it all depends on how you treat your hair. Are moisturizing? are you protecting your ends?

How often do you trim?
